My career began in the retail corporate world and always had a focus of running and growing businesses, operations, negotiations and sales. My passion for real estate was a hobby as I began purchasing rentals as investment properties after college. I continue to actively manage rental properties in New York and Minnesota.  

A promotion while working at Target Corp luckily brought me to Minnesota where I met my wife, Tiffany (Winter) Beitler, some years later. Together, we started Minnesota My Home, a family business. Addie, our two-year old daughter, fixes up cardboard box “homes” and sells them—payment accepted in the form of cookies. Finn, our 9-month old son, is currently learning to drink from a cup as well as properly assess the value of a home.

I’m a Minnesotan through and through—I make hot dishes, have a Minnesotan accent and love a good get-together. I grew up on Cooks Bay on Lake Minnetonka so I know a lot about the area—the communities, schools, best place to get a Bloody Mary… Seriously, I wrote the book Lake Minnetonka Eats so I know a thing or two about the restaurants and bars in the area.

I’m passionate about marketing with degrees from the University of Minnesota in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. After years in corporate marketing, I started my own business, Cooks Bay Marketing. We are a full-service marketing agency working with small and medium-size businesses. We love what we do!
